§160.3. Eligibility; applicability; exclusions

A. The Louisiana Access to Better Care Medicaid Insurance Demonstration Project shall apply to designated individuals who are eligible to receive medical assistance under Chapter 3 of Title 46 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and specifically R.S. 46:153 et seq., except as provided in Subsection B.

B. This project shall not apply to individuals receiving long-term care services under the medical assistance program.

C. The requirement that a participant or other eligible individual perform an act or make a choice within the project means that such act or choice shall be executed by the participant or other eligible individual. An individual, parent, tutor, or curator legally authorized to act on behalf of the participant or other eligible individual may perform such an act or make the choice within the project for the participant or other eligible individual.
