§ 261-10. Duties of the Clerk

It shall be the duty of the Clerk to keep fair and accurate records of all of the proceedings of said corporation, and the Clerk shall give copies of the same when required, and shall have power to certify to the same, for which copies so certified the Clerk shall have the same fees as town clerks for similar services; and the Clerk shall also make out such tax bills as the trustees shall from time to time direct, for which the Clerk shall have reasonable compensation, or such sum as may be agreed upon between the Clerk and the trustees. It shall also be the Clerk's duty to warn special meetings agreeably to the direction of the trustees or a majority of them, or upon petition of five or more legal voters of said Village; and shall also duly warn all annual meetings; special meetings of said corporation shall be warned in the same way and upon the same time hereinbefore provided for calling annual meetings, and the warning thereof shall contain a statement of the business to be transacted. The Clerk shall also have the usual powers and duties incident to Clerks of such corporations. Any business may be transacted at an adjourned meeting which, under warning, might have been transacted at the original meeting. (Added 1892, No. 114, § 10.)
