Section 9.4 - Investigation of regulated activity.

(1) The division is responsible for the investigation of a person or an activity that violates the provisions of this chapter.

(2) An investigation by the division may include: (a) a requirement that potential administrative appeals described in Section 15A-1-207 have been exhausted before conducting the investigation; (b) an investigation of a person engaged in unlawful or unprofessional conduct; and (c) a referral to the Uniform Building Code Commission to review a dispute involving an application or interpretation of a building code or construction law by a licensee.
