Section 305.1 - Qualifications for licensure of pharmacy technician trainee.

(1) An applicant for licensure as a pharmacy technician trainee shall: (a) submit an application to the division on a form created by the division; (b) pay a fee established by the division in accordance with Section 63J-1-504; (c) submit satisfactory evidence, as determined by the division, of good moral character as it relates to the applicant's ability to practice pharmacy; (d) unless exempted by the division, submit a completed criminal background check; (e) demonstrate, as determined by the division, that the applicant does not have a physical or mental condition that would prevent the applicant from engaging in practice as a pharmacy technician with reasonable skill, competency, and safety to the public; and (f) submit evidence that the applicant is enrolled in a training program approved by the division.

(2) A pharmacist whose license has been denied, revoked, suspended, or restricted for disciplinary purposes is not eligible to be licensed as a pharmacy technician trainee during division probation.
