§ 45-28-3. Taking of real property for authority. Any city or town may take real property located in it for a housing authority exercising its powers in the city or town, and the taking (and the conveyance of the property to the housing authority) shall be in the manner provided in §§ 45-29-13 - 45-29-32; provided, that in the case of a taking by a town, the functions prescribed in these sections for officers of a city shall be performed by the town council.
