§ 42-10-9. Custodian of state property. The general treasurer shall, except as otherwise provided, personally attend to his or her official duties; he or she shall be the keeper of the certificates of stocks, notes, and other evidences of property belonging to the permanent school fund and the Touro fund, and of all other property belonging to the state or held by the state in trust; and he or she shall collect the dividends, interest, and income arising from the above mentioned property, and shall dispose of them according to law.
