§ 40-2-18. Religious instructors and services. The director of the department of human services shall appoint religious instructors who shall conduct religious services at such times and at such places within institutions under the control of the department, and who shall perform such other duties consistent with their office, as may be required of them by the director of human services. The general assembly shall annually appropriate such sum as it may deem necessary to compensate the religious instructors.
