§ 37-6.1-1. Approval of payments. The director of the state department of transportation is hereby authorized to approve the payment by the general treasurer upon orders drawn by the state controller of relocation payments to eligible persons, businesses, farms, and nonprofit organizations of fair and reasonable relocation and other payments as provided by this chapter caused by their displacement from real property acquired by the state in conjunction with any federal or state highway program.
