§44-208. Discrimination against officers or enlisted members - Places of entertainment or amusement - Discharge or hindrance of duties by employers.

No person shall discriminate against any officer or enlisted member of the National Guard or Civil Air Patrol or a judge carrying out his or her duties as a member of the Military Court of Appeals because of his or her membership therein. No person shall prohibit or refuse entrance to any officer or enlisted member of the United States Armed Forces, or of the military forces of this state, into any public entertainment or place of amusement because such officer or enlisted member is wearing a uniform of the organization to which he or she belongs. No employer, officer or agent of any corporation, company, firm or other person, shall discharge any person from employment because of being an officer, warrant officer or enlisted member of the military forces of the state, or hinder or prevent him or her from performing any military service he or she may be called upon to perform by proper authority, in respect to his or her employment, trade or business. Any person violating any of the provisions of this section, shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not to exceed thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
