Franklin County is bounded by beginning at the northwest corner of township seven, range one, east; thence east with the township line to a point one mile east of the range line between ranges five and six, east; thence south on the section line, one mile from said range line, to the township line between townships four and five; thence west with said township line to the Homochitto River; thence down, with the meanderings of said river, to the basis meridian line; thence north on said meridian line to the beginning.
