Compiler's Notes: Public Act 171 of 2018 was proposed by initiative petition pursuant to Const 1963, art 2, § 9. On June 6, 2018, the initiative petition was approved by an affirmative vote of the majority of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and filed with the Secretary of State.Compiler's Notes: : Enacting sections 2 and 3 of Act 171 of 2018 provide:"Enacting section 2. For the fiscal year ending September 30, 2018, $75,000.00 is appropriated from the general fund to the department of licensing and regulatory affairs. The appropriation under this section is designated as a work project under section 451a of the management and budget act, 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1451a, for the purpose of implementing and communicating information about the repeal of 1965 PA 166, MCL 408.551 to 408.558, to be accomplished by state employees or by contract with an estimated cost not exceeding $75,000.00 and an estimated completion date by December 31, 2019.""Enacting section 3. If any part or parts of this act are found to be in conflict with the State Constitution of 1963, the United States Constitution, or federal law, this act shall be implemented to the maximum extent that the State Constitution of 1963, the United States Constitution, and federal law permit. Any provision held invalid or inoperative shall be severable from the remaining portions of this act."
