SUBPART A-1. ACCESS TO BETTER CARE MEDICAL
INSURANCE DEMONSTRATION PROJECT
§160. Purpose
The purpose of this Subpart is to provide for a demonstration project of the state's Medicaid program, the Louisiana Medical Assistance Program, through the use of publicly financed vouchers and medical savings accounts and thereby create a program that decreases state expenditures, streamlines the Medical Assistance Program, improves access to quality health care by preserving a Medicaid recipient's freedom of choice of health care provider, and provides such quality health care services to the greatest number of the state's citizens as fiscally possible.
