67C.137 Question of consolidation to be submitted to voters. (1) In every county containing a city of the first class in existence on July 14, 2000, a question regarding the consolidation of the city of the first class and their county as provided by KRS 67C.101 to 67C.137 shall be submitted to the voters of the county at the regular election to be held in November of 2000. The election shall be governed by the general election laws of the Commonwealth. Approval of the proposal shall require a simple majority of those voting on the question. (2) The question to be submitted to the voters shall read as follows: "Are you in favor of combining the City of........................... and............................ County into a single government with a mayor and legislative council, keeping all other cities, fire protection districts and special districts in existence?"
