61.926 Special officers designated peace officers -- Authorization to carry a concealed deadly weapon. Special law enforcement officers duly commissioned under KRS 61.900 to 61.930 shall be deemed "peace officers" within the meaning of KRS 527.020 and shall be authorized to carry a concealed deadly weapon on or about their persons when necessary for their protection in the discharge of their official duties.
