42.728 State agencies to assist Commonwealth Office of Technology -- Exceptions for judicial and legislative branches and retirement systems. (1) To accomplish the work of the Commonwealth Office of Technology, all organizational units and administrative bodies, as defined in KRS 12.010, and all members of the state postsecondary education system, as defined in KRS 164.001, shall furnish the Commonwealth Office of Technology necessary assistance, resources, information, records, and advice as required. (2) The provisions of KRS 42.720 to 42.742, 45.253, 171.420, 186A.040, 186A.285, and 194A.146 shall not be construed to grant any authority over the judicial or legislative branches of state government, or agencies thereof, to the Commonwealth Office of Technology. (3) The information, technology, personnel, agency resources, and confidential records of the Kentucky Retirement Systems and the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System shall be excluded from the provisions of KRS 42.720 to 42.742, 45.253, 171.420, 186A.040, 186A.285, and 194A.146 and shall not be under the authority of the Commonwealth Office of Technology.
