316.131 Reinstatement of expired license. (1) The board may reinstate an embalmer's or a funeral director's license that has expired for failure to renew within three (3) years of the license's expiration if the applicant for reinstatement pays a late fee and the renewal fees for the period during which the license was expired and provides proof that the applicant has met the cumulative continuing education requirements for the period during which the license was expired. (2) The board may reinstate an embalmer's or a funeral director's license that has expired for failure to renew more than three (3) years after the license's expiration if the applicant for reinstatement pays a late fee and the renewal fees for the period during which the license was expired, provides proof that the applicant has met all the cumulative continuing education requirements for the period during which the license was expired, and demonstrates that the applicant is able to practice embalming or funeral directing with reasonable competence. The board may require the person to pass an examination to determine competency. Effective: July 15, 1996 History: Created 1996 Ky. Acts ch. 149, sec. 6, effective July 15, 1996.
