304.38-1937 Coverage for treatment of temporomandibular joint disorders and craniomandibular jaw disorders. (1) All contracts, agreements, certificates, or other comparable documents of health care services provided which provide coverage for surgical or nonsurgical treatment of skeletal disorders shall provide coverage for medically necessary procedures relating to temporomandibular joint disorders and craniomandibular jaw disorders. (2) The requirements of this section shall apply to all policies issued, delivered, or renewed in this state on or after January 1, 1991. (3) Nothing in this section shall require a health insurance policy to provide dental services if dental services are not otherwise scheduled or provided as a part of policy benefits.
