304.38-170 Public documents -- Statutory construction. (1) All applications, filings, and reports required under this subtitle shall be treated as public documents, except as otherwise provided for herein. (2) The nonprofit hospital, medical-surgical, dental, and health service corporation law of this state shall not be applicable to any health maintenance organization granted a certificate of authority under this subtitle. This provision does not apply to an insurer or hospital or medical service corporation licensed and regulated pursuant to the insurance laws or the hospital or medical service corporation laws of this state except with respect to its health maintenance organization activities authorized and regulated pursuant to this subtitle.
