217B.570 Burden of responsibility. The burden of responsibility shall rest upon the applicator for selection and use of proper chemicals, and also for the correct formulation and dosages used unless otherwise specified in the rules and regulations. However, the department or its agents shall have authority at reasonable times during regular business hours to examine and test any and all chemicals used or being used or bought, held or stored for the purpose of being used for wood destroying organisms or general pest prevention or control by any person having a license issued, whether then in use or not. The department or its agent shall have the authority to inspect equipment and all storage and disposal areas. The department or its agent shall have the authority at reasonable times during regular business hours to inspect and observe the manner in which a particular pesticide is applied to insure that such is being done properly.
