205.6332 System for monitoring use of covered services using appropriate technology and identification card. The Department for Medicaid Services shall develop and implement a system for monitoring the use of Medical Assistance Program covered services by medical assistance recipients using appropriate technology in conjunction with an identification card to monitor recipient utilization of the following services at the option of the commissioner of the Department for Medicaid Services: (1) All drugs and durable medical equipment prescribed for and dispensed to the recipient; (2) All medical-assistance-covered physician office visits made by the recipient; and (3) Any other Medical Assistance Program covered service provided to the medical assistance recipient as defined by administrative regulation promulgated pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A and under this chapter.
