205.245 Supplementary payments. Money payments made by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to the needy aged, needy blind, and the needy permanently and totally disabled shall be: (1) Mandatory state supplementation of the supplemental security income program as established by federal law and regulations and administered in the manner agreed to by the secretary of the United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare and the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, or their authorized representatives; and (2) Supplemental payments to persons requiring special living arrangements as they become eligible for the supplemental security income program, to insure the same level of care as those persons covered under the provisions of subsection (1) of this section.
