183.012 Definitions of local administrative units. (1) "City" means any incorporated city; (2) As used in this chapter, "governmental unit" means any city, or the combination of any two (2) or more thereof, or any county, urban-county government, or combination of two (2) or more such counties, city or cities, acting jointly with any county or counties or an airboard or board established as provided in this chapter; (3) As used in this chapter, "ordinance," in the case of a county, means resolution of the county legislative body, and in the case of an airport board or airboard means a resolution or regulation of the board. (4) (5) "State" or "this state" means the Commonwealth of Kentucky; "Person" means any firm, partnership, corporation, company, association, joint stock association, or body politic; and includes any trustee, receiver, assignee, or other similar representative thereof. individual, History: Amended 1974 Ky.
