16.196 Trooper R Class and commercial vehicle enforcement officer R Class positions created within department. There is created within the Department of Kentucky State Police the positions of Trooper R Class and commercial vehicle enforcement officer R class that shall be utilized by the commissioner to retain retired officers commissioned under this chapter on a contractual basis to supplement the ranks of the Kentucky State Police and commercial vehicle enforcement officers. Legislative Research Commission Note (06/25/2009). 2009 Ky. Acts ch. 59, sec. 12, provided that a new KRS Chapter 16A was to be established and a new section thereof was to be created for this statute. In codification, the Reviser of Statutes has instead created new sections of existing KRS Chapter 16 for 2009 Ky. Acts ch. 59, secs. 12 to 15, under the authority of KRS 7.136(1)(a).
