154.12-276 Office of Workforce, Community Development, and Research -- Executive director -- Duties of office. There is created in the Cabinet for Economic Development the Office of Workforce, Community Development, and Research. The office shall be headed by an executive director appointed by the secretary pursuant to KRS 154.10-050. The office shall administer programs to ensure that communities and workers in the Commonwealth are equipped with resources, superior training, and skills needed to compete in the global economy and partner with appropriate organizations to ensure that companies and individuals receive the resources they need to be successful. The office shall also administer research activities related to strategic planning, business site selection, existing business development, program analysis, competitive analysis, and community development.
