31-25-2-26. Collaborative child and family assistance programs

Sec. 26. (a) The department may collaborate with public and private entities to implement or participate in programs, including technology based platforms, designed to connect the department and local offices with supportive local community organizations that may provide assistance in meeting the needs of children and families in crisis.

(b) Before September 30 of each year that the department is participating in programs described in subsection (a), the department shall report to the legislative council in an electronic format under IC 5-14-6 the following information for the preceding state fiscal year concerning the department's implementation or participation in the programs:

(1) The number of requests submitted to any programs.

(2) The number of requests met through any program.

(3) The number of children provided services through any program.

(4) The estimated economic impact.

This subsection expires June 30, 2024.
