815 ILCS 665/ - Building and Construction Contract Act.

(815 ILCS 665/1) Sec. 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Building and Construction Contract Act. (Source: P.A. 92-657, eff. 7-16-02.)

(815 ILCS 665/5) Sec. 5. Definition. In this Act: "Building and construction contract" means a contract for the design, construction, alteration, improvement, repair, or maintenance of real property, highways, roads, or bridges. (Source: P.A. 92-657, eff. 7-16-02.)

(815 ILCS 665/10) Sec. 10. Application of laws of another state. A provision contained in or executed in connection with a building and construction contract to be performed in Illinois that makes the contract subject to the laws of another state or that requires any litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution to take place in another state is against public policy. Such a provision is void and unenforceable. (Source: P.A. 92-657, eff. 7-16-02.)

(815 ILCS 665/15) Sec. 15. Contracts of the United States or any other state. This Act shall not apply to provisions contained in or executed in connection with any building and construction contract awarded by the United States or by any other state. (Source: P.A. 92-657, eff. 7-16-02.)

(815 ILCS 665/20) Sec. 20. Business of selling tangible personal property. This Act shall not apply to any person primarily engaged in the business of selling tangible personal property. (Source: P.A. 92-657, eff. 7-16-02.)
