(105 ILCS 5/36-1) (from Ch. 122, par. 36-1) Sec. 36-1. Repeal - Saving Clause. The following acts are repealed: "An Act providing for a system of free schools and for transportation of all school children, and further providing for the establishment of junior colleges with or without tuition charges," approved May 1, 1945, as amended; "An Act authorizing school districts to levy a tax to pay rental for use and occupancy of school buildings owned by the State of Illinois," approved July 6, 1957; "An Act to provide for the acquisition, construction, rental and disposition of buildings used for school purposes," approved June 21, 1957; "An Act to provide scholarships in institutions of higher learning for qualified residents of the State, to create the State Scholarship Commission and define its powers and duties, to provide for the administration of a State scholarship program, and to make appropriations for such purposes," approved June 21, 1957; "An Act in relation to driver education courses in the public schools and to make appropriations in connection therewith," approved July 9, 1957. Such repeal shall not affect or impair any of the following: suits pending or rights existing at the time this act takes effect; any grant or conveyance made or right acquired or cause of action now existing under any such act; the validity of any bonds or other obligations issued or sold and constituting valid obligations of the issuing authority at the time this act takes effect; the validity of any contract; the validity of any tax levied under any law in effect prior to the effective date of this Act; any offense committed, act done, penalty, punishment or forfeiture incurred, or any claim, right, power or remedy accrued under any law in effect prior to the effective date of this Act; nor shall the repeal herein of any curative or validating act affect the corporate existence or powers of any school district lawfully validated thereby.
