Section 4e-8 - Contracting Standards Advisory Council. Duties.

There is established a Contracting Standards Advisory Council, which shall consist of representatives from the Office of Policy and Management, Departments of Administrative Services and Transportation and representatives of at least three additional contracting agencies, including at least one human services related state agency, to be designated by the Governor. The Chief Procurement Officer shall be a member of the council and serve as chairperson. The advisory council shall meet at least four times per year to discuss state procurement issues and to make recommendations for improvement of the procurement processes to the State Contracting Standards Board. The advisory council may conduct studies, research and analyses and make reports and recommendations with respect to subjects or matters within the jurisdiction of the State Contracting Standards Board.

History: Sept. Sp. Sess. P.A. 07-1 effective January 1, 2009; P.A. 11-51 replaced Departments of Public Works and Information Technology with Department of Construction Services, effective July 1, 2011; P.A. 13-247 deleted reference to Department of Construction Services and made a technical change, effective July 1, 2013.
