(a) There is established and created a fund to be known as the “Shellfish Fund”. The proceeds of any bonds authorized for the purpose of section 26-237a shall be deposited in the fund. Any balance remaining in said fund at the end of any fiscal year shall be carried forward in said fund for the fiscal year next succeeding.
(b) The fund shall be used by the Commissioner of Agriculture for the program established under section 26-237a.

Sess. P.A. 03-6 replaced Commissioner of Agriculture with Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 04-189 repealed Sec. 146 of June 30 Sp. Sess. P.A. 03-6, thereby reversing the merger of the Departments of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, effective June 1, 2004; P.A. 04-201 amended Subsec. (a) to delete reference to repealed Sec. 26-237c, effective June 3, 2004, and applicable to calendar quarters commencing on and after July 1, 2004.
