Section 26-29a - Free lifetime fishing licenses for persons with intellectual disability.

No fee shall be charged for any sport fishing license issued under this chapter to any person with intellectual disability, and such license shall be a lifetime license not subject to the expiration provisions of section 26-35. Proof of intellectual disability shall consist of a certificate to that effect issued by a licensed physician or a licensed advanced practice registered nurse.

History: P.A. 07-133 added provision making license a lifetime license, effective July 1, 2007; P.A. 13-139 substituted “intellectual disability” for “mental retardation”; P.A. 16-39 replaced “any person licensed to practice medicine and surgery in this state” with “a licensed physician or a licensed advanced practice registered nurse”.
