Section 20-479 - Limited exemption for code enforcement officials.

The provisions of section 20-476 shall not apply to a code enforcement official acting within the scope of his or her duties, provided, within one year of July 1, 1994, no code enforcement official shall perform the duties of a lead inspector, lead inspector risk assessor or lead planner-project designer unless he or she has successfully completed an appropriate approved training course and an annual refresher training as specified in section 20-477 or complies with the standards established in regulations adopted pursuant to section 20-478.

History: P.A. 94-220 effective July 1, 1994; P.A. 17-66 replaced reference to lead consultant with references to lead inspector, lead inspector risk assessor and lead planner-project designer, and made technical changes, effective July 1, 2017.
