Section 10-76pp - Use of digital individualized education program form software by school districts.

(a) The Department of Education shall provide a digital individualized education program form software at no cost to local and regional boards of education and the Technical Education and Career System in accordance with section 10-76oo. Such digital individualized education program form software shall permit local and regional boards of education and the Technical Education and Career System to create and submit a complete digital copy of a student’s individualized education program and related documents to (1) the department for purposes of conducting a remote audit, and (2) a local or regional board of education or the Technical Education and Career System in which such student has transferred to.

(b) A local and regional board of education and the Technical Education and Career System shall use the digital individualized education program form software when such software is provided by the department, except as otherwise provided in subsection (c) of this section.

(c) Nothing in this section shall affect or impair any agreement entered into between a local or regional board of education or the Technical Education and Career System and a software company for purposes of creating and sharing digital copies of a student’s individualized education program and related documents prior to the department providing a digital individualized education program form software to such local or regional board of education or the Technical Education and Career System pursuant to subsection (a) of this section. When any such agreement terminates or expires, the local or regional board of education or the Technical Education and Career System, as applicable, shall use the digital individualized education program form software provided by the department.
