Section 1-81a - Recommended appropriations. Allotments.

(a) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, the appropriations recommended for the Office of State Ethics shall be the estimates of expenditure requirements transmitted to the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management by the executive director of the Office of State Ethics and the recommended adjustments and revisions of such estimates shall be the recommended adjustments and revisions, if any, transmitted by said executive director to the Office of Policy and Management.

(b) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, the Governor shall not reduce allotment requisitions or allotments in force concerning the Office of State Ethics.

History: P.A. 04-204 effective July 1, 2004; P.A. 05-183 changed references from the State Ethics Commission to the Office of State Ethics, effective July 1, 2005; P.A. 11-48 amended Subsec. (a) by adding language re separate line item within budget for Office of Governmental Accountability, by replacing language re director of Office of State Ethics with language re administrator of Office of Governmental Accountability and by making technical changes, effective July 1, 2011; May Sp. Sess. P.A. 16-3 amended Subsec. (a) by deleting references to Office of Governmental Accountability, deleting provision re separate line item within budget for said office and replacing reference to executive administrator of Office of Governmental Accountability with reference to executive director of Office of State Ethics, effective July 1, 2016.
