Each member of a county transportation authority shall be compensated at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100) for each day attending the business of the authority, but not to exceed four hundred dollars ($400) in any month, and necessary traveling and personal expenses incurred in the performance of his or her duties as authorized by the county transportation authority.
