§ 20-7-202. Definitions

(1)

(A) "Acquire" means to lease, lease-purchase, or purchase any lands, buildings, structures, improvements, or other property, real, personal, or mixed.

(B) "Acquire" also includes payment or provision for payment of all expenses incidental thereto;

(2) "Board" means the State Board of Health;

(3)

(A) "Construct" means to acquire, construct, reconstruct, renovate, remodel, install, and equip any lands, buildings, structures, improvements, or other property, real, personal, or mixed, useful in connection with any expansion or acquisition and to make other necessary expenditures in connection therewith by the methods and in the manner as may be authorized by law and in the case of an acquisition of equipment and other property of a medical, laboratory, or technical nature, by the method the Director of the Department of Health shall determine to be necessary or desirable to accomplish the power, purposes, and authorities set forth in this subchapter and without regard to the provisions of other laws pertaining to the construction and acquisition of property by state agencies.

(B) "Construct" also includes payment or provision for payment for all expenses incidental thereto;

(4) "Director" or "State Health Officer" means the Director of the Department of Health;

(5) "Division" means the Department of Health;

(6) "Fees" means all fees set forth in § 20-7-123(b), which are confirmed and ratified by this subchapter; and

(7) "Fund" means the State Health Department Building and Local Grant Trust Fund.
