§ 17-20-307. Renewal -- Expiration -- Restoration

(a) Every registered barber or teacher manager instructor who continues in active practice or service shall annually between July 1 and September 1 renew his or her certificate of registration or shop certificate of registration by paying the required fee.

(b) Every certificate of registration which has not been renewed, as herein required, in any year shall expire on September 1 in that year.

(c)

(1) A registered barber or teacher manager instructor whose certificate of registration has expired may have his or her certificate or shop certificate of registration restored immediately upon payment of the required restoration fee.

(2)

(A) Any registered barber or teacher manager instructor who fails to keep his or her registration certificate renewed for not more than three (3) years may renew his or her certificate of registration upon payment of the required restoration fee for each year of delinquency.

(B) If the time elapsed is more than three (3) years, he or she must take and pass the required examination and pay the examination fee as set forth by the State Board of Barber Examiners.

(d)

(1) A barber who holds a current license in this state shall be issued a personal lifetime license at eighty (80) years of age upon his or her request.

(2) However, the shop license of a barber under subdivision (d)(1) of this section shall be renewed yearly.
