Individuals will not be charged for:
The search and review of the record; and
Copies of ten (10) or fewer pages of a requested record.
Records of more than 10 pages will be photocopied for 15 cents a page. If the record is larger than 81/2 × 14 inches, the fee will be the cost of reproducing the record through Government or commercial sources.
Fees must be paid in full before requested records are disclosed. Payment shall be by personal check or money order payable to the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, and mailed or delivered to the record keeper or to the Privacy Act Officer, depending upon the nature of the request, at the address listed in § 1630.4.
The Executive Director or the Privacy Act Officer may waive the fee if:
The cost of collecting the fee exceeds the amount to be collected; or
The production of the copies at no charge is in the best interest of the Board.
A receipt will be furnished on request.
