§ 18.12 - Entry at port of destination.

Arrival procedures. Merchandise received under an immediate transportation entry at the port of destination may be admitted to a FTZ, entered into a bonded warehouse, entered for consumption, transportation and exportation, immediate exportation, immediate transportation, or any other form of entry, within 15 calendar days from the date of arrival at the port of destination and is subject to all the conditions pertaining to merchandise entered at a port of first arrival.

Entry. The right to make entry at the port of destination will be determined in accordance with the provisions of 19 U.S.C. 1484 and the regulations promulgated thereunder.

Entry at subsequent ports. When a portion of a shipment is entered at the port of first arrival and the remainder of the shipment is entered for consumption or warehouse at one or more subsequent ports, the entry at each subsequent port may be made on an extract of the invoice as provided for in § 141.84 of this chapter.

General order merchandise. All merchandise included in an immediate transportation entry not entered pursuant to § 18.12(a) within 15 calendar days from the date of arrival at the port of destination will become subject on the 16th day to general order requirements pursuant to § 4.37, § 122.50, or § 123.10 of this chapter, as applicable.
